Welcome to The San Diego Project

Designed by Todd Kuhlman

The San Diego Project represents the kind of visionary, client-focused design process that defines Kuhlman Scott Architects. The San Diego Project reimagines a previously successful tower design, expanding it to create a modern residential development. The plan featured two towers—each containing three units—and two additional units creatively integrated around the corner of the site.

The architecture is characterized by its simple, modern lines and wood frame construction, providing a fresh visual identity distinct from typical developments in the area without being overly avant-garde.

Design-wise, the project prioritized adaptable modernity, with cover images specifically chosen to highlight the building’s context, sometimes using tree cover for greater visual appeal.

The design remains a strong example of Kuhlman Scott Architects’ ability to create contemporary, flexible housing solutions.
