Welcome to Riviera

Designed by Todd Kuhlman

Riviera represents the kind of visionary, client-focused design process that defines Kuhlman Scott Architects. The Riviera project is an ambitious redevelopment located just across the street from Mission Bay in San Diego. Designed to revitalize an existing property, the plan expands a three-unit residential building by adding a fourth unit - a modern ADU - above the original house, while bringing fresh, contemporary design language to the entire complex.

The architect explored several versions of the design, including a striking blue building accented with white and wood elements, ultimately selecting the final set of images for their exceptional ability to capture the project's vibrant spirit.

Key features of the Riviera project include its bold, modern aesthetic and functional outdoor spaces, most notably an expansive roof terrace with a dedicated bar area. The visual storytelling, emphasized through carefully chosen dusk and night views, ensures the property makes a memorable impression both in person and online. With construction drawings underway, Riviera is poised to stand out as a model of stylish, adaptable urban living in a coveted San Diego location.
